1. Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information I collect through althenarosalind.com, why I collect it, and how it is handled.

What I Collect

Right now, this site is relatively simple. I do not currently require you to create an account, and I do not collect personal information beyond what is automatically gathered by my hosting provider (Hostinger) as part of standard web server operations. This includes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, the kind of information all web servers log by default.

In the future, I plan to add:

• A newsletter - if you subscribe, I will collect your email address and any name you choose to provide. You will always be able to unsubscribe.
• An online store - if you make a purchase, I will collect the information necessary to process your order, such as your name, email address, delivery address, and payment details. Payment processing will be handled by a trusted third-party provider; I will never see or store your full payment card details myself.
• A YouTube channel - this is hosted by YouTube/Google and is subject to their own privacy policy, not mine. Any interaction you have on YouTube is governed by their terms.

I will update this policy when those features go live.

How I Use Your Information

Any information I collect is used solely for the purpose it was provided:

• Server logs: to keep the site running and secure.
• Newsletter emails: to send you my newsletter and nothing else.
• Store orders: to fulfil your purchase and provide customer support.

Third Parties

Some content may be refined or developed with AI assistance (see the AI-Assisted Content Disclaimer below), but the authorship and creative direction remain mine throughout.

My Images

The images on this site were generated using Leonardo.Ai and ZeroTwo.ai, then edited by me in GIMP using layers and composition techniques. The final images were exported as WebP files. While the base imagery originates from an AI image generator, the selection, editing, composition, and creative direction are my own.

The legal status of AI-generated imagery is an evolving area of law. Regardless of how this area develops, the curated and edited images on this site represent my creative choices and should not be copied, reproduced, or used without my permission.

Website Design

This website was designed by me and built with AI assistance. The design concept, layout, colour palette, typography choices, and creative direction are entirely mine. The code was developed collaboratively with AI.

Writing: My writing is my own. The voice you read on this site is mine, I write it, I edit it, and I decide what gets published.
