Lists have carried me through almost everything I make. So one of the core things I’m doing on my 100/50 Journey is writing a shelf of non-fiction books about the power of lists.
About twenty books is my dream. Each one follows a different side of lists and how they help us move through the fog from wanting to making.
This page is their home. When a book is finished, it takes its place on the shelf below and opens into its own page, so come back any time to see what has landed.

Book one is in its research stage. It asks what lists are, the many forms they take and how they shape what we notice, remember and choose.
Every book stands on its own, but together they follow one big question: what are lists really doing in our lives, and how can they help us make what matters?
Lists turn up everywhere, from old inventories and catalogues to the note on your fridge. What makes something a list at all?
Checklists, rankings, calendars, collections and databases each work differently. I want to find out how and why.
How a list shapes what we notice, remember, choose, create and become.
What happens when a list grows much longer than feels comfortable, and the familiar ideas give way to stranger, richer ones.
My 100/50 Journey is a fifty-year list. I’m writing from inside it, so you can see how one list can hold a lifetime of making.
These books are one of the three ways I help makers use the power of lists, alongside #-The Fog and #-The 100/50 Journey Group.
The Fog explores single list ideas as they come to me. The books follow those ideas further, into something you can sit with and return to while you start, progress and finish your own projects.
Until the first book lands, #-Read The Fog to see the ideas as they grow.
Heys, I’m Althena Rosalind. Most days you’ll find me inside the next project on my official hundred, often a sci-fantasy serial or a tool that grew from that writer life.
I’m a low-hustle maker helping people use lists to start, continue and finish what matters to them. Sci-fantasy writing, and the business and lifestyle around it, is the topic of my official hundred.
