Welcome, I’m Althena Rosalind, and this is The Fog, my digital mashup magazine, helping you navigate the fog from wanting to making.
Today we are talking about the entire project archive compared with a small set of projects that are active now.
It is enjoyable to look through a library, a gallery of paintings, or all of the items at a market. I like to browse over collections that are enjoyable or interesting.
In a similar way I enjoy the variety of having 100 projects to do over the next 50 years. That is why I have my 100/50 Journey, so that I can work on 100 projects that matter to me over 50 years of my life.
100 projects is a collection. I like to visualise my 100 projects as wooden boxes lined up on one wall with each project peeking out.
I can enjoy analysing the entire wall part by part, or within one sweeping glance, but I would never hold all of the boxes at once in my arms. There would be too much. It would be too heavy. It would become overwhelming.
Instead I imagine a golden light that streams out from these wooden boxes and carries to me the projects that currently grab my attention.
They land on the table and this is where I actively work while the rest wait within the archive.
The active projects on my table glow because I want to do them. They become brighter with my excitement.
Though at some point they can go back to waiting within my archive, because my energy changed, or the season changed, or another idea started calling louder.
That’s how high ambition and low hustle belong together for me. The imagination gets to be the enormous archive. The table stays small and calm. I work on what suits me, what I want to work on at that moment, and the whole collection keeps growing.
So here’s my question for you. If your ideas had an archive like this, which projects would be glowing brightest? And which three would you carry to the table this season?

Holding one hundred projects
The ItchOne hundred projects is a lot to hold. When I first wrote my list, part of me wondered whether it would turn into one enormous weight, a hundred things all asking to be done at once. I wanted to know how to keep that many goals without letting them overwhelm me.
The ScratchSitting with my hundred feels like walking through a gallery. I can enjoy every painting, and I only choose a few to work on each week. The rest aren’t overdue. They’re waiting, still glowing, until one grabs my attention. Nobody paints one hundred pictures at once, and a list this big works because the table stays small.
