My 100/50 Journey
This is the lived side of my 100/50 Journey: one hundred meaningful projects across fifty years. The finished work earns its place on #-my Bookshelf. This page keeps the moments around the making: the discoveries, the decisions, the laughs, and the lessons that cost me something before they taught me something.
Newest sits at the top. I add an entry whenever a moment feels worth keeping: some are a sentence, some a story, and some only became funny after the fix was in.

15/July/2026 Choose the name first
The day my GitHub name caught up with the rest of my personal brand.
I made my GitHub account as AlthenaE ages ago, long before Althena Rosalind existed as a brand. This week the name finally caught up, and the fix was not one click. It meant renaming the account, moving two repositories across, repairing thirteen files that still pointed at the old owner, updating both local remotes, and rerunning every check that proves the public Workspace is still exactly itself.
So if you’re about to publish anything from a GitHub account, pick the name you want the world to see first. Future you either gets to smile at the address bar or spends an afternoon doing all of the above, lol.
15/July/2026 One page was doing two jobs
The moment my Journey stopped being personal and official on the same page.
For a while the 100/50 Journey had one page doing two jobs. Participants needed the method, the Workspace, the Idea Directory, the Registry. I needed somewhere to keep what the Journey feels like from inside it. Every edit had to serve both readers at once, and I could feel the tangle every time I opened the page; it made me anxious about touching my own website.
The fix was admitting it was two pages wearing one URL. The official page now keeps the method and the community, and this one gets to be mine. If a page of yours makes you nervous every time you edit it, check whether it’s secretly two pages.
15/July/2026 Yay, it is done!
The day the public 100/50 Journey Workspace reached v1.0.1, properly.
The public 100/50 Journey Workspace is finished at v1.0.1, and I get to say finished without crossing my fingers. Finished, here, means the release checks passed on the exact published commit, the throwaway proof copy is deleted, my GitHub name is the real one, and the public repository still matches every one of its 414 files. Done because it was proven, not because I was tired of looking at it.
That last part is the bit worth stealing: decide what done means before you say the word, then make the thing pass its own test. The celebration lands harder when nothing is crossed. Yay, it is done!
Keep your own moments
If you’re walking a hundred of your own, keep the moments around it. The lessons, the laughs, the day a thing finally works: write them down somewhere you’ll find them again, because the making years deserve remembering as much as the made things.
